Past Meets Future Chapter 16 by ~forced2Bafangirl:iconforced2Bafangirl:

Ch.16 PMF

“How do we get them back?”
“I don’t know, but we’ll think of a way.” Rae said with all the ferocity of a mother when her children are in danger.
--
“Where are we?” Raven asked as she looked around at the blankness that surrounded them.
“Some kind of limbo, I’d say.” with all the studying that Marie had done, she felt pretty confident in speaking her opinion.
“Why are we here?” that was one think that didn’t make sense.
“Remember how the Tower was attacked? And then we were here? I’m thinking somebody messed with our past. Either ours or our parents or something.” because if they had been killed they would be dead, and not here. Wherever here was.
“So how are we supposed to get back?” a good question, that didn’t have an answer.
“We’ll think of something. Or the Titans will. You know how they are when they put their minds to something.” Marie had to keep Raven calm especially when they had no idea what was going to happen.
“But what if they don’t want to bring us back? What if they think that Sting brought us back to our time, or if we annoyed them and they are grateful we’re gone?” Raven was a little insecure about herself.
“They don’t feel that way. Look. Cyborg had a great time last night, right? And Raven and Starfire enjoyed girls’ night? And Robin has sparred with us and we help him out right? And we got Beast Boy and Raven together, right? They like us. They’ll try everything.” Beast Girl kept their spirits high.
“You’re right. What are we supposed to do in the meantime?” now that Raven was calm, she was bored.
“How about a game?”
--
“No. I don’t care. No.” Rae very stubbornly said.
“How about….” a suggestion was started, but never finished
“How about not.” because Rae firmly interrupted with another rejection. As she had rejected every idea that they had come up with so far.
“Come on, Rae. Let them at least finish their sentences.” Beast Boy tried to placate her just a little.
“No. All they’re doing is coming up with different versions of the same idea. And the answer to that is no. So, the answer to their ideas will always be no, until they come up with something else.” she wasn’t going to budge on this point. Not when the fate of those two girls hang in the balance.
--
“Go fish.” Marie suggested
“Truth or Dare.” Raven countered
“Old Maid.”
“Tag.”
“Hide-and-Seek.”
“This is getting us nowhere.” Raven gave up that train of ideas.
“What do you suggest we do?”
“I don’t know, how about we practice our weak points. I’ll shift, and you practice magic.” Raven said
“Fine by me. If nothing else, it will pass the time. Is there even time here?” Marie quandried
“Don’t do that.”
“Do what?”
“Get philosophical. We both know that you end up thinking in circles, and it does us no good.” Raven had enough of that when they were younger. It made both of their heads hurt.
“Alright. Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos.”
--
“Let’s start from the beginning of what we know.” Robin suggested. If they figured out what they knew, they could figure out how to get the girls back.
“All right. We know that they are from 150 years in the future.” Cyborg brought up
“They are the descendents of Beast Boy and Rae.” Starfire offered
“They have the powers of both of us, but Raven is more powerful with her magic and Marie is better at shifting.” Beast Boy remembered.
“Someone was messing with our future and their past. Maybe not directly, as in killing them, but indirectly, as in breaking up their parents before they were born.” Robin put in.
“They are still alive, but are trapped somewhere.” After Rae’s addition, the entire team turned to look at her, Robin was the first (predictably) to gain his voice so he asked what they all were wondering.
“1) How do you know this, and 2) why didn’t you tell us this sooner?”
“Remember how I can sense things?” All Titans nodded. “Well, because I’m related to them, we have a bond. I can feel that they are still alive in a sense. They are in a different dimension, a sort of limbo if you will, because they did exist here, but because they now don’t, they had to be put somewhere.”
“Alright. Is there a way to reach this dimension?”
“I don’t know. All I know right now is that it exists. I’m going to have to do research in order to know anything more.”
“Alright. Rae, you go find out anything that you can. The rest of us will, I don’t know. We’ll come up with something.”
“Robin? Do you really think that we can bring them back?” Starfire didn’t want her new friends to spend the rest of their days in the scary limbo place.
“We’ve done the impossible before. We’ll do it again.”

Ch.16 PMF

“I wonder where we are,” Raven commented, looking around at the great nothing that surrounded them.
“Some kind of limbo I’d say. ” Marie shrugged. “But the real question is why are we here?”
“All I remember is the tower was attacked. Then we woke up here. If we were killed, we would be dead. I don’t feel dead. Wherever here is, we’re alive.”
“How are we supposed to get back?” Marie looked around the limbo with a grimace. “We’ll think of something, or the Titans will. You know how they are when they put their minds to something.”
“But…what if they don’t want to bring us back? What if they think that Sting brought us back to our time, or if we annoyed them and they are grateful we’re gone?” Raven looked ready to cry.
“They don’t feel that way. Look. Cyborg had a great time last night. And Raven and Starfire enjoyed our girls’ night? Robin took the time to teach us to fight. We helped him out a lot, right? And best of all, we got Beast Boy and Raven together. They have to like us. They’ll try everything to get us back,” Beast Girl said, trying to keep high spirits. Raven took a moment before nodding.
“You’re right. But, what are we supposed to do in the meantime?” Now that Raven had calmed down, she was bored.
“How about a game?"
--
“No, I don’t care. No.” Rae very stubbornly said.
“How about…?”
“How about not?" Rae cut in. She had rejected every idea they had come up with so far.
“Come on, Rae. Let them at least finish their sentences.” Beast Boy tried to appease her.
“No. All they are doing is coming up with different versions of the same idea. The answer is no. So, the answer will always be no until they come up with something else.” She was not going to budge on this point, not when the fate of those two girls, her friends, hung in the balance.

“Go fish,” Marie suggested
“Truth or Dare.” Raven countered.
“Old Maid.”
“Tag.”
“Uh, Hide-and-Seek.”
“This is getting us nowhere.” Raven gave up.
“What do you suggest we do?”
“I don’t know, how about we practice. I’ll shift and you practice magic,” Raven said, feeling more at ease with the idea of a familiar routine.
“Fine by me, if nothing else it will pass the time. Is there even time here?” Marie began to look worried.
“Don’t do that.” Raven’s eyes narrowed.
“Do what?” Marie looked confused.
“Get philosophical. We both know that you end up thinking in circles, and that does us no good.” Raven had enough of that when they were younger.
“Alright. Here goes… Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Azarath Metrion Zinthos.”
--
“Let’s start from the beginning with what we know,” Robin suggested. “If we figure out what we know we can figure out how to get the girls back.”
“They are from 150 years in the future,” Cyborg said.
“They are the descendents of Beast Boy and Rae,” Starfire offered.
“They have our powers.” Beast Boy tilted his head. “Raven has more magic and Marie has my powers.”
“Someone sinister is messing with time, maybe not directly. From the evidence it seems they are trying to break up the girls’ parents before the girls are even born.” Robin looked serious for a moment. “By this time, I hate to say it, but they could be dead.”
“They are still alive, just trapped somewhere.” The entire team turned to look at Rae. Robin was the first to gain his voice. “How do you know this?” Robin asked, voicing what they had all been wondering.
“Remember, I can sense things.” Rae said. The Titans nodded. “Because I’m related to them, we have a bond. I can feel that they are still alive, in a sense. They are in a different dimension, a sort of limbo if you will. Because they are supposed to exist they can’t just be wiped out, they had to be put somewhere.”
“How do we get to this dimension?” Robin asked, his eyes bright behind his mask.
“I don’t know. All I know right now is that it exists. In order to know anything more I’m going to have to do research.”
“Alright, Rae, you go find out anything that you can. The rest of us will, I don’t know. We’ll come up with something.”
“Robin? Do you really think that we can bring them back?” Starfire’s eyes were wet. She didn’t want her new friends to spend the rest of their lives in some scary limbo place.
“Don’t worry Star,” Robin said, putting a hand on her shoulder, “We have done the impossible before. We’ll do it again.”

:iconatlanteanemperor:
Should I ask why you completely rewrote her chapter for her? Far be it from me to presume, but this seems extremely rude. How would you feel is someone did that to something you wrote?
