Ch.15 PMF


“What do you plan to do?” Robin was suspicious.
“I’m not exactly sure, but they need some time to have fun. We played tag and hide-and-seek until it was too dark, and even then I had to drag them back practically. They are too bored with game station, and I can understand why, so we need to set up one day where we play all those games from when we were little. They had never played with a Frisbee, and this was the first time they had played. Ever. They never had a childhood. From the time when they were little they have been meditating, training, and going to their lessons. They don’t go to school with everyone else their age, but they still have to have an education. They have take-home lessons. Besides, the city’s been pretty quiet lately. We need to take a day off anyway, what better than to be actual kids for a while. Kind of like, keep in touch with our actual ages and show the city that we do understand what they’re going through.” Cyborg tried to get the team to agree to his idea, and if it got all of them out, even better.
“I’m game.” Beast Boy was in
“Why not.” Rae saw nothing that should pose a problem
“Wondrous.” Starfire couldn’t wait.
“I’m not so sure. Maybe they have the right idea.” Robin pondered
“Come on Rob.” Beast Boy pleaded
“Even you have to have some time away from villains, training, and the evidence room.” Rae logically pointed out.
“Fine. But only for one day.” Although Robin seemed against the idea, inside he was kind of excited, but he couldn’t show it. He was the leader, after all.
“Sweet. I’ll tell the girls.”
Cyborg sped off to find the two new girls to the team, but no matter where he looked he couldn’t find them. They weren’t in their rooms, the training room, the evidence room, the common room was definitely where they weren’t, the library was empty, in fact, the entire tower seemed to be missing Raven and Beast Girl.
“Has anyone seen Raven or Beast Girl?” he asked when he returned to the common room
“Not since last night.” Rae said, not looking up from her book.
“Sorry.” Beast Boy said shrugging.
“No. Why?”
“Because I can’t find them. They aren’t anywhere in the tower. I’ve tried their rooms, the roof, the gym, anywhere where they might be.”
“Rae, could you search for them? Beast Boy could you sniff them out?” Robin went into leader-mode.
“They aren’t in my range.” and since her range was pretty large, they had to be either out of the city entirely, or on the very outskirts.
“Their smell isn’t here. At all. It’s like they were never here. Their rooms are cleaned out. Nothing is left of them.” Beast Boy said when he came back from checking the girls’ area.
Now the entire team was worried. They checked the security systems for the night to find out that a Warp look-alike attacked in the night; then shortly after, the girls disappeared. The Titans checked the room that the girls slept in, and saw them disappear. They didn’t flicker. They, and all of their stuff just vanished. Like, one second they are there, the next it was as if they never existed. After capturing a returning Warper, they discovered that just like last time, he messed with time. This time he made sure to prevent the birth of the girls. So, he made sure that they never existed by breaking up their great-grandparents. If their ancestors never existed, neither could they. The thing that Beast Girl and Raven had worried about most of all came to pass.
